Developed at the U of S this apple is one of the most exciting new apples to hit the prairies! The apple is flavorful, sweet and has a skin color of red/green. Blind taste tests have preferred the flavor over Gala. It is a firm, crisp and juicy apple that has excellent storability and it is extremely hardy. So new, it is still not named and has no mature information.

Developed at the U of S this apple is a multipurpose apple that ripens the first week in September. The fruit has a nice shape and the color is yellowish cream with a pink blush. The flesh is crisp, juicy and sweet.

Apple - Dexter Jackson

Fruits are average size and are amber in colour with red streaking. Dexter is a heavy annual producer with a strong branching habit and desirable form. Pollinator required. Harvest in mid August.

Grows to be about 20 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 20 feet. It has a low canopy with a typical clearance of 4 feet from the ground, and is suitable for planting under power lines. It grows at a medium rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for 50 years or more. This tree should only be grown in full sunlight. It prefers to grow in average to moist conditions, and shouldn't be allowed to dry out. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments.

A lightly sweet apple with a creamy-green skin and a red blush. It is a good size apple, average 6-8 cm. Goodland apple white flesh is tender and juicy, it has a fine texture and it is very good for fresh eating. It is also wonderful in puree, very aromatic. Goodland apples can kept up to 20 weeks in a cool room. It is an early apple that can be harvested from mid-August.
